Let us all Stop Blaming Union/Association
Many of us seems to have forgotten that Banks jobs and Centre Govt Jobs are totally different. Please have a look around where even profitable PSU like BPCL,CONCOR,SCI etc are in the process of being privatise , in addition PSU like SAIL,BSNL,MTNL etc.. are not in a position to give Pay Revision as they are Loss Making (due to affordability clause in Pay Commission). PSU like BHEL,HAL etc has freeze DA and reduce perks from 35% to 20% due to affordability issue.
It is only because of Trade Union/Association that all Bankers are still able to get uniform settlement across all banks.
NPS was introduce in Centre Govt from 2004 while in banks only from 2010, while in PSU under Pay Commission don’t have Defined benefits pension at all…
Before cursing Union Leader/Association think carefully about the plights of employee in PSU which have follows Pay Commission and are not in a position to revise their salary …
It is the effort of the Union that we are still getting decent wage revision and benefits …( Sufficient amount to take care of Housing through lease.concessional loans , enough petrol to take care of Car’s EMI,Furniture (starts from 1 lacs to 1.7 lacs ),Mobile,newspaper,maid,etc…).
You may ask Centre Govt employee whether they enjoy any of the above benefits…( I can tell you they enjoys transport allowance at 7200 plus DA only if you are posted in metros, other areas 3200 +DA that also at Group A level 10 which is more or less same with petrol allowance in all major banks, The other allowance is children education 2250 per kid for 2 kids… at Group B level Income tax inspector,Section officer, many don’t have the facilities of even mobile/newspaper …)
Don’t forget Next Revision is due again in 2022 while in Centre and PSU it is due only in 2026/27
