Expected DA increase for Banker From August 2021 is Minimum 27 slab and Maximum 35 slab

Expected DA Calculation Updated on 31.05.2021 on the basis of CPI for the month of Apr'21 that announced on 31.05.21 (there is an increase of just 0.50 points as per revised base year 2016 (base year changed from Oct 2020) and assumptions of CPI for next two months i.e. May & June 2021 as under (the increase of CPI points are much higher to be expected in coming months in view of recent increase in prices of generally each and every daily needs items, however on a conservative approach we assume as below on seeing the CPI for the month of April 2021

  1. On assumptions if there is an increase of One point of CPI in next both months (May'21 & June'21). Keeping in view on going increase in fuel price and prices of other commonly required items which has made more and more difficult to manage family budget in the present covid crises, on these assumptions the expected (tentatively) an increase of DA Slabs would be 35 slabs and the total tentatively revised DA slabs would be 880 slabs i.e. 84.70% on existing pay and in terms of 11BPS total tentatively revised DA slabs would be 402 i.e. 28.14%.
  2. On assumptions if there is an increase of 0.80 points in CPI of the next both months in this situation the expected (tentatively) an increase of DA Slabs would be 32 slabs and the total tentatively revised DA slabs would be 877 slabs i.e. 87.10% on existing pay and in terms of 11 BPS total tentatively revised DA slabs would be 399 i.e. 27.93%.
  3. On assumptions if there is an increase of 0.50 points in CPI of the next both months in this situation the expected (tentatively) an increase of DA Slabs would be 27 slabs and the total tentatively revised DA slabs would be 872 slabs i.e. 87.20% on existing pay and in terms of 11 BPS total tentatively revised DA slabs would be 394 i.e. 27.58%.

Importance of Nominee & Nomination

   Importance of Nominee & Nomination
Every time you fill up a form for an investment, whether it’s a Fixed Deposit or Insurance,
Shares or a Mutual Fund or even if you’re opening a new bank account, there will be a
separate section that will ask you to mention a ‘Nominee’. This column is often left
blank by a lot of people who are investing or opening an account, but it shouldn’t be, and here’s why.

What is Nomination?

Nomination is a facility that enables a deposit account holder, investor in mutual fund/other financial instruments or safe deposit locker holder to nominate an individual, who can claim the proceeds of the deposit account, investment or contents of the safe deposit locker, post the demise of the original depositor, investor or locker holder.

Who is a Nominee?

A Nominee is a person whom you can list in your investment or bank application as the person who can receive the proceeds of your account in case of your unexpected death.

The nominee can be anyone you deem to be your first relative - your parents, spouse, kids, siblings etc. Some investments also allow you to have multiple nominees where you can assign percentages of your money to each one of them. If you don’t specify percentages, it is shared equally.

Why nominate someone?

In case of the unfortunate event of one’s demise, one’s family/ near ones go through a very painful and difficult time of coping up with the loss. To add to this, whether we like it or not, financial security and means is necessary for the surviving partner or your close ones. All banks and financial institutions have standard and simpler processes for settling death claims, where nomination is clearly mentioned in the account or folio.

However, in absence of nomination, process of settling a death claim may require a host of documents, including death, succession certificates, a will or a court order. Although it may sound simple on paper, it ends up being a long drawn process in real life and it is not a situation which you would want to put your loved ones at a time, which would anyways be an already emotionally painful situation for them.

Why is nomination critical?

Nomination is a critical activity which a lot of us miss out, which eventually creates a lot of unwanted hassle for our nearest ones.

There is startling data from the RBI which shows thousands of crores of unclaimed deposits lying in banks across the country. These are deposits which are lying in accounts where the original owner has not claimed the money, or deceased and had not filed nomination details. This by itself is a proof of how difficult it can be to retrieve your money where there is no nomination done.

It will take just a visit to your bank and mutual fund Company to add a Nominee by filling up a simple form.

Points to remember while doing Nomination

•  Mention the full name, age, address and your relationship with the nominee.

•  Do not write the nomination in favour of "wife" and "children" as a class. Give their specific names and particulars existing at that moment.

•  If the nominee is a minor, appoint a person who is a major as an appointee giving his full name, age, address and relationship to the nominee.

It is advisable to take out some time to regularise “nomination” in all your financial instruments, assets, bank accounts and lockers. You will render them a huge help when they would need it the most.

See the position of Banker--Denied leave while recovering from Covid, Indian bank employee walks to work hooked up to oxygen tank

A man recovering from Covid-19 in India showed up at his office while hooked up to his oxygen tank after he was reportedly denied sick leave.

Arvind Kumar turned up to the branch of Punjab National Bank in Bokaro, Jharkhand leaning on his wife and with his son dragging the oxygen cylinder into the building with him.

Mr Kumar, whose family filmed the Tuesday incident and posted the video online in a clip that has since been widely shared, says the bank denied his application for additional sick leave and ordered him to return to duty.

In his letter requesting leave, he had said he was still recovering from the virus while an infection had spread to his lungs, and that he required continuous oxygen support as his blood oxygen levels remained low, reported the New Indian Express.

The video shows Mr Kumar walking into the bank branch connected to the oxygen cylinder, before taking the stairs to confront a bank official in his cubicle.

The family and the bank official then exchanged a heated argument, with Mr Kumar seen panting and gasping for air at the end of the video as he yells at the manager: “Why I am being tortured.. I am sick and in serious condition. Doctors have said it will take three months to recover as the infection has reached my lungs.” He also demanded his salary be settled as he alleged non-payment.

“The bank officials did not consider his leave application and he even submitted his resignation, which was also rejected,” said a family member.

“Now, they are threatening to deduct his salary due to which he was forced to come to work with oxygen support.”

Mr Kumar was then asked to return home. Since the incident bank officials refrained from issuing statements. The Independent has approached the bank for comment.

Covid-19 patients across the world are reporting a long list of lingering symptoms despite having ostensibly recovered, known as long Covid. According to a survey in the UK, almost 14 per cent of Covid patients reported lingering symptoms which lasted at least 12 weeks.

RBI announces no fresh supply of Rs 2,000 currency notes in FY22

No fresh notes of Rs. 2,000 have been printed since 2019

Rs 2,000 and Rs. 500 notes make up 85.7 percent of total value of bank notes in circulation

The current highest denomination note was introduced after the demonetisation of 2016

Salaried jobs fell by 11-12 million, 97% Indians got poorer: CMIE

Quoting a recent CMIE study, Vyas said, "India had 403.5 million jobs before being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2020, about 126 million jobs were lost of which about 90 million were those of daily wagers. The figure recovered and reached 400 million jobs in January 2021 or December 2020. However, after the second wave, India has 390 million jobs."

Vyas pointed out that not everyone has got their job back and those who have got their jobs back have not necessarily got the same quality job. Salaried jobs are still falling. The situation is worse off, he added.

Over 97 percent of India's population has become poorer compared to where they were in terms of income (a year ago), claimed Vyas while accounting for inflation.

"When we ask people in our survey, how's their income today compared to a year ago, only 3 per cent tell us today that their income is better than a year ago; about 55 percent tell us categorically that it is worse than a year ago, and the remaining tell us that it is no better, no worse. I think that is a big damaging factor. And it raises the question, how are we going to recover from this situation?" questioned Vyas.

Unemployment levels have moved into double digits, at 14.73 percent for the week ending May 23, according to CMIE, with over 17 percent unemployment in urban India and nearly 14 percent in rural India. CMIE said India's unemployment rate rose 8 percent in April 2021, against 6.5 percent in March 2021.

Vyas said the 30-day moving average gives you a slightly longer and slightly more reliable number and that number has gone up to 13 percent as of May 23. So, we're really looking at unemployment rising, and labour participation rates stalling, he added.

Investment bank Barclays recently has said India is losing about $8 billion--about Rs 60,000 crore every week in May 2021. The total loss will be $117 billion (Rs 8.5 trillion) or 3.75 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), according to Barclays.

Wanting to do something for someone on a daily basis is the ultimate gift.

I got on to the bus. Seeing the crowd inside, I was upset. There was no place to sit. Just then, a person vacated his seat. The man standing next to the vacant seat could have sat there, but instead he offered the seat to me.

At the next stop, the same thing happened again. He gave his seat to another. This happened 4 times during the entire journey. The man looked like a  normal worker, returning home after a long day at work...

At the last stop when all of us got off, I spoke to him.

"Why were you giving your seat to another person every time you got a vacant seat?"
His answer took me by surprise.
"I haven’t studied much in my life nor do I know many things. I don't have much money either. So I don't have anything much to give to anyone. That's why I do this everyday. It is something I can do easily.

"After working all day I can stand for a little longer. I gave my seat to you and you said *thank you*. It gave me satisfaction that I did something for someone.
I do this daily & feel I am contributing in some way.
I go back home refreshed & happy every day that I gave something to someone."

 I was speechless!

Wanting to do something for someone on a daily basis is the ultimate gift.

This stranger taught me a lot  -
*How easy it is to be rich from within!*

When you are bored in lockdown and pandemics just think about a few things that don't make sense 🤔......like ;

😉When you are bored just think about a few things that don't make sense 🤔......like ;

1. If poison expires, is it more poisonous or is it no longer poisonous? 🤔

2. Which letter is silent in the word "Scent," the S or the C? 🤔

3. Do twins ever realize that one of them is unplanned?🤔

4. Why is the letter W, in English, called double U? Shouldn't it be called double V?🤔

5. Maybe oxygen is slowly killing you and It just takes 75-100 years to fully work.🤔
