The Office of Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) has officially taken up the matter of the strike notice served by the 7 constituent unions of UFBU.

📌 Strike Programme: 🔴 11 September 2026 — All India Strike

🔴 28–30 September 2026 — 3 Days Strike

🔴 From 26 October 2026 — CONTINUOUS STRIKE

📄 The notice confirms that the matter has been seized into conciliation under Section 53(1) of the Industrial Relations Code, 2020.

5-Day Banking — Declare It Now!*

*There should be NO meeting or discussion with IBA on the issue of 5-Day Banking before its declaration.*

Our stand should be very clear: 5-Day Banking must be declared first, and only thereafter should any meeting or discussion take place.

Further, the PLI already credited to Scale IV and above should also be reversed/kept in abeyance until IBA and UFBU arrive at a final decision on the pending issues.

Expected DA for Bankers from November 2026

Expected DA Calculation Updated on 31.08.26 on the basis of CPI for the month of Jul'26 with the assumptions of CPI for the months of Aug'26 & Sep'26. The CPI for the month of Jul'26 announced on 31.08.26 as 153.20 with an increase of 1.30 points from Jun'26. (as per revised base year 2016) (The base year was changed from Oct 2020)

1. Keeping in view of recent CPI announced , we may assume there would be an increase in CPI index by 1.40 points in the month of Aug'26 and 1.20 points in the month of Sep'26. Accordingly, on this assumption, we may expect there would be an increase of 3.67% DA in terms of 12th BPS on revised pay. Total 31.50% DA will become payable from Nov 2026
2. On assumptions if there is an increase in CPI index by 1.30 points in the month of Aug'26 and 1.10 points in the month of Sep'26, we may expect there would be be an increase of 3.57% DA in terms of 12th BPS on revised pay. Total 31.40 percentage of DA will become payable from Nov 2026
3. On assumptions if there is an increase in CPI index by 1.20 points in the month of Aug'26 and 1.00 points in the month of Sep'26, we may expect there would be be an increase of 3.51% DA in terms of 12th BPS on revised pay. Total 31.34 percentage of DA will become payable from Nov 2026
