Bank Bachao Desh Bachao Manch---Join in mass

We take immense pride to announce launch of #BankBachaoDeshBachaoManch, a platform primarily to mobilize public opinion against bank privatisation. We feel that if the bank nationalization Act is amended, it would pave the way for selling off nationalised banks, which would be death knell for common citizens as the govt. would wash their hands off in case of bank failures. Further, it would adversely affect virtually majority of the citizens viz. Senior Citizens whose pension and deposits will be under threat, employees, workers including contractual employees, farmers, students, youth, women, SHGs et al.
Accordingly, this platform is launched to mobilise public opinion against bank privatisation as mooted by the ruling dispensation. Apart from our fight against bank privatisation, this platform will voice our protest against the humongous write-off of corporate loan defaulters; fight for retirees' of across the country, fight for equity and justice of contractual workers both in banking and other sectors, fight for gig workers, support democratic movements, uphold social justice, take up social causes related to improvement of live and livelihood of rural artisans and Self Help Groups, take up welfare activities for the betterment of society and in various other areas related to the interest of common citizens.
Our platform has already received support of diverse sections of the society viz. students, Information Technology Workers' Union, Retirees' Association of various Central Govt organisations, Media personnel, Farmers' movement leaders, eminent academicians, former eminent banking trade union leaders, many bank retirees, RTI activists, Social Activists, Advocates, Social Media Influencers, writers, eminent sportsmen et al. representatives of banking fraternity and senior former leadership of banking Trade Union, contractual workers, farmers' movement leadership, central government retirees' association leadership, Railway retirees' leadership, Defence sector retirees' leadership, eminent academicians, social activists, leadership of Information technology workers' union, media, RTI activists, students, representatives of gig workers, etc.
We appeal to all individuals/organisations to join our movement and consolidate our platform. You can contact us over phone or Inbox us for any clarification/suggestion.
Our future endeavours will be uploaded on our Facebook page(link appended)
With revolutionary greetings,
Biswaranjan Ray/ Soumya Datta
Joint Convenors
