Good news for Retirees: 

Com. S K Bandlish, General Secretary, NCBE ( Convenor UFBU) while àddressing NCBE state office bearers in Lucknow on 17th July replied to specific questions raised:

“IBA has agreed in principle to update pension for which specific meeting between IBA and UFBU is to be held shortly to decide modalities."  

He assured that UFBU will sign required agreement with IBA on this heart burning issue. He also apprised that matter of 14% NPS contribution and family pension is likely to be cleared by the Government, there is no finality on the name of two banks which are to be privatised and as òn date no such bill is on agenda for Parliament’s Mansoon Session but apprehended that the Government may do this abruptly. He said that UFBU is having full vigil on the issue and will act suitably as when situation will warrant.
