Dear Friends,
The writ petition filed by Canara BANK employee was listed for hearing today before the MADURAI Bench of Madras High court. The counsel for the petitioner elaborately argued the grievances of 10 lacs employees of the Bank and minimum wages fixed by the Seventh Pay Commission and introduction of CODE ON WAGES 2019 and it’s salient features. However the Secretary IBA has not chosen to appear through its Advocate inspite of the Mail, Fax and speed post sent by the petitioner’s Advocate as per the direction of the Hon’ble High court on26.8.19.
Under the above circumstances the Hon’ble Judge has adjourned the writ petition for SECRETARY IBA’s representation on 30.8.19.

It is highly unfortunate that IBA has not responded to the prayer of 10 lacs bank employees by appearing in the Honourable High court.
We wish and hope that the IBA will respect the sentiments of the Bank men and law of the land by atleast presenting themselves in the High court on Friday.
