Allahabad Bank is the oldest joint stock Bank in India (Bharat) by its own name since its existence I.e. 24th April, 1865. It was established by group of Europeans and Indians. It is a HERITAGE for Indian Banks History. Nowadays Govt. is planning to make six BIG BANK amalgamating small public sector banks into 6 Big Banks. Allahabad Bank is one of them being proposed to be merged/amalgamated into Punjab National Bank. Allahabad Bank is more strong in almost parameters being seen nowadays specially in NPA then Punjab National Bank. Banking Board Bureau and Govt of India must get its name & existence continue and other Banks should be merged with it so that We can HERITAGE " ALLAHABAD BANK".
