How to verify Income Tax refund Status for FY 2019-20* *?

For the FY 2019-20, for those who have filed IT returns and eligible for tax refund, Income Tax department has started the process of crediting refund.

Most of those, who are eligible for refund and who filed returns during July and August got SMS from the bank concerned about the credit of ITRO in their account, from the first week of this month onwards (some got intimation during last month itself).

I found in most cases there is no intimation from Income Tax Department either by email or SMS about the status ie ITR processed and refund initiated as they usually do.

In e filing site of Income Tax department also the status is showing as e verified only ,even for those who got the refund credited.

Perhaps this may be due to the upgradation of software for processing IT returns is yet to be stabilized.

There is a likelihood that some might have missed the credit intimation/SMS from the bank. In such cases where income tax refund is due, one has to verify their bank account for the credit.
