Three Anil Ambani companies have reportedly been accused of fraud by banks — the amount at stake is nearly ten times more than what Mallya owed

The accounts of three Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group entities have reportedly been flagged as fraudulent by three banks, including India’s largest lender, the State Bank of India (SBI).
Reliance Communications, Reliance Infratel, and Reliance Telecom owe lenders ₹86,188 crore.

This is ten times more than the debt garnered by former billionaires Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi.

India’s infamous fallen billionaire, Anil Ambani, may have claimed that his ‘net worth is zero’ but Indian banks aren’t buying it.

In the midst of Reliance Communications’ bankruptcy resolution process, three Indian banks — the State Bank of India (SBI), Union Bank of India (UBI) and the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) — are classifying the company’s accounts and the accounts of its units as fraudulent.

Sources told the Economic Times that the three banks, which includes India’s largest lender, are looking to launch a deeper probe into the transactions from the account of three Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group entities — Reliance Communications, Reliance Infratel and Reliance Telecom.

However, the Delhi High Court has directed Union Bank of India and Indian Overseas Bank to maintain the status quo in a matter pertaining to the classification of accounts as fraudulent until the next hearing on January 13.

SBI and the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group declined to comment on the issue.

Gross NPAs of banks may rise to 10.1-10.6% by March 2021: Icra

Banks' gross non-performing assets (NPAs) and net NPAs are expected to rise to 10.1-10.6 per cent and 3.1-3.2 per cent, respectively by March 2021, Icra said Monday.

The agency also expects net NPA to decline to 2.4-2.6 per cent by March 2022.

As moratorium on loan repayments is over and though we await the Honourable Supreme Court directive on asset classification, the GNPAs and NNPAs for banks are likely to rise in near term to 10.1-10.6 per cent and 3.1-3.2 per cent, respectively by March 2021 from 7.9 per cent and 2.2 per cent, respectively as of September 2020,? the rating agency said in a report.

It, however, said net NPAs and credit provisions will subsequently trend lower in 2021-22 as banks have reported strong collections on their loan portfolio with most of them reporting collections of over 90 per cent.
The report further said the loan restructuring requests are much lower than previously estimated, supported by sharper than expected improvement in economic activities as well liquidity support through the government's emergency credit line guarantee scheme.

The agency has revised its loan restructuring estimate downwards to 2.5-4.5 per cent of advances as against 5-8 per cent estimated earlier.

"With expectations of sustained collections and lower restructuring, the asset quality is expected to improve further with net NPA declining to 2.4-2.6 per cent by March 2022. This will lead to lower credit provisions and better profitability in FY2022,? Icra's sector head (financial sector ratings) Anil Gupta said.

The agency said the credit provisions are estimated to decline to 1.8-2.4 per cent of advances during 2021-22 from an estimate of 2.2-3.1 per cent in the ongoing fiscal and 3.1 per cent in 2019-20 , which will lead to improvement in return on equity (RoE) for banks.

It expects public sector banks to break-even after six consecutive years (FY 2016- FY 2021) of losses and generate RoE of 0.0-5.4 per cent for FY2022 ( -2.3 per cent/ 3.7 per cent for FY2021 and -6.5 per cent for FY2020).

The RoE for private banks is also estimated to improve to 9.5-10.5 per cent in FY2022 (2-7.5 per cent in FY2021 and 6.5 per cent for FY2020), the report said.
The capital position for large private banks is strong and can withstand the stress case scenario for asset quality after these banks raised Rs 54,400 crore of capital during the nine month of FY2021, Gupta said.

Stop Political Intervention at Top Administration level as well as at Branch function***.

*Dear All

*#* *To Stop Political Intervention at Top Administration level as well as at Branch functioning*

*#* *To save Dignity of Labour*

*#* *To Stop usage of Un parliamentary words/language at meetings and during personal interaction*

*#* *To Stop exploitation of Labour* ( for example : in a branch 2 officers means, working hours ends at 05.00 pm whereas they normally work up to 08.30 pm so, 3 1/2 hours extra work. It amounts to 2x3 1/2 = 7 hours labour. So, in that branch *labour of one officer is given without any labour cost to the bank*
Now, 2 officers for 3 1/2  (Three and half) hours = 1 officer labour i.e 50000 officers (upto Scale III approx) means 25000 officers labour is given without any cost to the bank on a each working day excluding holidays. Think about in terms of payment : Rs 2500 avg x 25000 = Rs.6.25 crores daily *Labour without cost to the bank*

*#* *To Stop giving  disproportionate punishments*

*#* *To provide adequate staff strength* ( customer complaints are due to staff shortage only)

*#* *To Stop giving instructions against the circulars and manuals* (please follow system and procedures and stop all un ethical practices and reject illegal orders)

*#* *To follow best HR practices*

*#* *To bring updated infrastructure*

*#* *To stop calling everything as emergency/urgency* (given time norms to be followed)

We, all most all are from poor and lower middle class families, please allow us to work efficiently and live peacefully.

Please follow professional ethics.

BOB start 24x7 Banking service in branch level

I think customers deserve far more and to achieve the same followings are suggested.

1. Every branch should reqquipd it's counter with attached wash basin so that regular handwash can be ensured to protect the visiting customer who are otherwise liable to be risked for Corona if employees remain serving them with gloves.
2. Instead of adjusting for lunch breaks and thus deprive a customer for service , a spoonfeeder can be hired to feed the staff in a relay manner to ensure uninterrupted customer service.
3. Working timing notices should give a sense of 24×7 service and no customer should be returned at any point of time. Working in shifts can be devised to ensure that.
4. The point No 7 in the letter missed the Bio Break and suggests no means to avoid time loss due to it. Exclusive advice needed for same too.
 5. Last but not the least, Employees should treat themselves HARDLY HUMAN.
Further suggestions are welcomed to add into.
