Aryavart Bank Employees file FIR against 200 people for assaulting Bank Employees

Aryavart Bank Employees in Malpur, under the Bhira police station area have filed FIR against 200 people for assaulting Bank Employees. Police have registered a case against 200 unidentified individuals, along with five named suspects, based on the complaint by the bank staff.

Incident Details

On Friday, Dinesh Kumar visited the bank to deposit ₹90,000 into his loan account but had forgotten his passbook. He initially sought assistance from a female employee for his account number, who directed him to bank employee Sumit Singh. Kumar alleges that when he asked Singh for help, Singh was inattentive and dismissive, resulting in a heated argument. Frustrated, Kumar left the bank and poured petrol on himself outside. Nearby individuals and police officers quickly intervened, stopping him from taking further action. A video from the scene, showing an assault on a bank employee by a crowd with sticks, has since surfaced online.

Statements from Both Sides

Kumar claims he felt humiliated after receiving poor treatment from the bank staff, which led him to the desperate act. He alleges that staff mishandled his request, leading to his feeling overwhelmed and attempting suicide.

In response, Bhira Police Station in-charge, Pushpraj Kushwaha, stated that a report has been filed by the bank employees against Kumar and others involved in the ruckus. According to him, the bank manager, Abhishek Kumar, claims that Dinesh Kumar was intoxicated when he arrived at the bank and demanded account information without proper documentation. As per bank protocol, staff refused, triggering Kumar’s anger. The bank has since filed a formal complaint against Kumar and others involved in the confrontation, citing harassment and assault on staff.

Police Action and Video Evidence

Following the incident, police have registered a case against 200 unidentified individuals, along with five named suspects, based on the complaint by the bank staff. Additionally, a viral video, which shows a bank employee being attacked by an irate crowd, has prompted further police investigation.

Status and Ongoing Investigation

The police confirmed that while a case was registered based on the bank’s complaint, Dinesh Kumar’s complaint has yet to be filed. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, reviewing witness accounts, and verifying video footage to determine further actions.

This incident underscores the need for calm and thorough handling of conflicts within public institutions, especially in high-stress environments such as banks. Further details from the investigation will clarify the events and any additional actions required
