CPI has not been declared till now -DA for banker delay

The Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) data for February 2024 and March 2024 has not been released by the Labour Bureau, which should have been released before March 30,2024, and April 30, 2024, respectively. This delay is causing uncertainty for workers/bank employees who expect an increase in their new DA effective from May 1st, 2024.

The CPI for the month of Feb'24 & Mar'24 has not been declared till now which were due to be daclared on 31.03.24 & 30.04.2024 respectively. The AIBEA, union has written to the Labour Bureau requesting the announcement of CPI as per the schedule. The DA Slabs / rates for the working staff payble from May' 24 are based on the CPI announced
