It's very strange that almost all bank officials and employees organizations citing their presence in the head office on the issue of manpower planning and welfare fund in their own banks. Gone and then strike is appealed at the industrial level saying there is a shortage of staff in the bank. Isn't this anti-mutual? Your lips get sewed at the bank level, you don't strongly oppose any kind and start crying for decrease at the industrial level.
Bank officials and employees have the right to know what scientific or logical formula is to determine the number of employees in their bank, after all how many deposit advance or number of transactions can be demanded for an additional peon, clerk or officer? On what basis is the current number of staff in branches determined?
On what jobs were the amount spent for employees welfare fund and on what basis who decided on that expenditure?
We keep hearing the news of the cancellation of applications made by bank employees for retirement, not that sometimes memo charge sheets etc have been issued to retirement employees in lack of decision on application given for retirement. This ground reality proves that no additional staff has been made as leave reserve when determining staff number. Calling officers to work on Sundays and holidays also proves that the number of employees is as much as they should be.
The question that arises from reality and truth is why drama and drama in the name of manpower planning and the participation of majority organizations in this matter? When there is no transparency of any kind, from the bottom little leader to the top leader has no answer to the question when can an extra peon, clerk or officer be demanded then the employees nationally Why pretend to cry over the lack of that?
Insufficient employee numbers not only affect the quality of customer service in opposite ways but it's the biggest reason for employee harassment and exploitation today.
