AGONY OF A BANKER – 1 Do not sigh the 11th bipartite settlement, let it be unilateral

AGONY OF A BANKER – 1

Do not sigh the 11th bipartite settlement,  let it be unilateral

For the first time in the history of Bipartite,  Adhoc Arrears were being  paid.  Very strange and shockingly surprise.   But equally surprising were the reactions of UFBU constituents.

With in two hours our great UFBU leaders  have condemned the action of IBA, just like a knee jerk reaction. At the first I thought they were demanding 3 months gross salary as adhoc arrears for 11th bipartite.  But they are our great UFBU leaders,  do you know what they are opposing?  Their only problem that they  were not consulted before announcement it was unilateral.

Come on guys, have guts to demand  3 month gross salary as arrears and a 40% of gross salary as interim pay ( adhoc or some Thing)   from next month onwards till 11th Bipartite is signed.  Can’t you people  even protest the minimal adhoc arrears,  atleast on paper.

You were worried about bilateralism. Where were you when unified branch timings were announced without consulting you.  Not even a single representation from UFBU, when the management  increased cash transactions time by half an hour.  (For majority of the banks the cash timing is still 3.30pm with a common lunch interval of 30 min from 2pm to 2.30pm)  Not even a single leader had opened their mouth.   The same is the case with the merger of banks.  Unilateral no UFBU leader consulted before hand no reaction from UFBU.  Same with regard of issuance of ESOP’s issued to the Employees, unilateral no dissent from UFBU leaders. (Employees who had invested are loosing money.  UFBU leaders even don’t have a courage to ask for a compensation)

From 1st Bipartite to 10th Bipartite you were signing …  signing … signing and signing the settlements.   Do you know sir what we got when compared to other PSU, Insurance and Govt Employees,  -40%  to -50%.  Our salary is nearly 40 to 60% less than those employees.

For godsake do not sigh the 11th Bipartite if is less than 40%.  In simple English  my gross salary of Rs.50,000/- should become Rs.70,000/- per month,  this is what a 40% hike is for me. You negotiate in which ever way you want

But if it less than that

I beg you do not sigh the settlement,  let it be unilateral this time at 15 or 16 or 18%.   I will be proud that my leaders are not spineless, they stood like a rock and rejected a shameless settlement.  Let them increase salaries unilaterally, let them credit it to my account  every month.  I will work with a great satisfaction that my leader tried his best,  but we cant win a war every time.

I humbly request you to “Stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves, Fight for those who cannot fight for them selves”.

DO NOT SIGH THE SETTLEMENT THIS TIME IF IT IS 15% OR 16% OT   18%  LET IT BE UNILATERAL
