The IBA by giving this adhoc, has given warning to trade unions, that they know ,how to act ,whenever required.IBA feels that wage negotiations and agitation against merger of banks, cannot go hand in hand. Now it is the time for the trade unions ,to take a final decision on merger issue. If UFBU feels that ,they will not allow merger, they can call for an indefinite strike and ensure that finance ministry drops the merger plan. Then, they can sit for bipartite talks and negotiate.Further.Now,UFBU have to be really principled. Will they stand up to their principle?
