Supreme Court Judges are exempted from Perquisite Tax.The same MiLords, themselves being on salaried service and without paying a single penny towards Perquisites tax decide a case and pass a judgment justifying why other salaried class citizens of India should pay income tax on perquisites!!!
The Supreme Court itself has mentioned that Tax on Perquisites is not violative of Article 14 of the Constitution and is hence not ultra vires.
So, With due respect to the Indian Constitution and Judicial system,why is such a discrimination?
This dual system questions the integrity of the country and the faith of the common people on the judiciary.
The mute question is-Are judges above Article 14 of the Constitution?
After all, It is a fundamental Right.
