A case of theft of jewelry worth twenty lakhs has been reported from the locker of State Bank of India in Ajmer. The victim, Himanshu Asojia, has accused the bank employees of being involved in the theft. The police are currently investigating the case.
Himanshu Asojia, a resident of Bhagwanganj Nai Basti, Ajmer, reported the theft at the Kotwali police station. He mentioned that he and his mother, Madhuri, have a joint account at the State Bank of India branch on PR Marg, Ajmer. On 2nd April, they visited the bank to close their locker, which contained jewelry worth about Rs 20 lakh. However, upon opening the locker, they discovered that the jewelry was missing, and only documents were found.
When they approached the bank manager for assistance, they were met with reluctance and were denied access to the CCTV footage. The bank employees allegedly behaved rudely and, according to the victim, demonstrated suspicious behavior. As a result, Himanshu Asojia filed a report at the Kotwali police station, expressing his belief that the theft may have occurred with the involvement of bank employees.
The case has been registered at the Kotwali police station, and the investigation has been assigned to ASI Maniram. This incident is currently under investigation, and the authorities are working to resolve the matter.
