*09th Joint Note and 5 Day Work Week*
Comrade,
AIBOC had a firm stand that they will not sign the 9th joint note without a firm commitment to 5-day workweek. On February 22nd, AIBOC took a stand that they would not sign without a 5-day workweek clause in the joint note, though some of the award staff unions were keen to sign the bipartite agreement. The situation changed after the involvement of the FM & DFS officials, and only then IBa agree to incorporate these terms bipartite and joint note.
Please understand that "all saturdays will be holidays" has been recognised in the bipartite settlement and joint note. The working hours change will be implemented after necessary clearances from the govt.
In 2015 Bipartite, similar clause was inserted for declaration of two Saturdays off. It was signed in May 2015. After getting necessary clearances from the govt, the two Saturdays off were declared from 1st Sep 2015.
Similarly, in this joint note and bipartite, "all saturdays off" clause has been inserted. Bipartite is a legal document. The implementation time is 6 months. We are hopeful that after necessary formalities, the govt will issue the notification either before or after elections.
Rest assured, following this settlement, the 5-day workweek will become a reality soon.
We would also request our membersship to go through other provisions in our circular and the joint note, which are aimed at improving the salaries and service conditions by a great extent. To quote a few-
- Substantial Pay increase
- Stagnation increments
- Additional CAIIB Increment
- 3 PQPs
- New leaves - one leave per month for all women employees, 4 half day CLs, other leave benefits
- Family definitions
- The new DA factor with the new series of 2016=100 improving the salary and pension for all.
- Fitment on Promotion - Every Officer on promotion shall be fitted in a higher stage in the new scale of pay with a protection of a minimum differential of one increment in Pay drawn by him/her in the pre-promoted cadre or scale, removing the anomaly in fitment.
- Officiating Pay - payable for a continuous period of not less than 4 days at a time OR an aggregate of 4 days during a calendar month
These are just few, more than 90 such benefits are there.
Comrade, AIBOC stand comitted to collective well being of its members. We will continue to strive for welfare for all our members and towards making our work place a better place to work in.
Thanks and regards
Team AIBOC WBSU
