: Hyderabad, Jan 24 (UNI) The two-day nation-wide strike called by the United Forum of Bank Unions' (UFBU) from January 30 stands as there was no concrete assurance on their demands in the conciliation meeting held by Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner ( Central), Mumbai Tej Bahadur on Tuesday.
Informing this to UNI, All India Bank Employees' Association General Secretary Ch Venkatachalam said, in the meeting Indian Banks' Association (IBA) said it will hold discussion with UFBU within 15 days.
Leaders of nine unions in UFBU namely AIBEA, AIBOC, NCBE, AIBOA, BEFI, INBEF, INBOC, NOBW and NOBO took part in the meeting held in Mumbai.
He said the conciliation meeting is posted to Friday.
Mr Venkatachalam requested all its units and members to go ahead with the agitation programme.
The bank unions have been demanding five-day banking, updation of pension, residual issues, scrap NPS, immediate starting of negotiation on charter of demands for wage revision and adequate recruitment in all cadres.
