A high level committee has been formed regarding the reduction of employee benefit of ten loss laden public sector banks under economist J.P. Pattanayak. The proposed reduced scale will be as following.
1) Fixed remuneration of 10,000 for sub ordinate staffs.
2) Fixed remuneration of 15,000 for all clerical staffs irrespective of seniority.
3) Fixed remuneration of 20,000 for all scale 1 officers irrespective of seniority.
4) Fixed remuneration of 25,000 for all scale 2 officers irrespective of seniority.
5) Fixed remuneration of scale 3 and above will be decided later.
It has also been decided to stop transfer orders of all designated officers for the time being the bank turn arounds. Employees benefits like paper bill, LTC, bonus, fuel cost and other allowances will be curtled for the time being. The committee has also proposed to cut travelling bill and halting allowances for designatories. The electricity bill and the profit and loss accounts of those ten banks are under red scanner. This banks will not be entitled to get the benefit of 11th BIPATRITE till 2020. And if the situation of the banks are, if still worsen employees may have to get salary from 2020 Without any arrear. Govt of India has taken these stringent measure for restructuring the weak loss driven banks including all three bank s headquartered in Kolkata.
