7th pay commission: Good news for employees, PM Modi likely to give nod for this big decision

Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to bring cheer for around 50 lakh central government employees who are waiting for their demands to fulfil beyond recommendations of the seventh pay commission. Citing sources a report in Zee News stated that PM Modi might allow central government employees to avail an option of traveling abroad under LTC. However, the countries they can visit will be decided by the government itself. The report furter claimed that initially, the employees might allow to visit at least 10 nations. According to DopT, this facility will be announced and it's framework will be decided once the Prime MInister would give his approval. 
The report said that the move has been likely to made in order to strengthen relationship with other coutries. Besides, the move might help Modi government to have an adavantage in upcoming 2019 general elections. 
Citing sources, the report further stated that the proposal had been jointly made by the foreign ministry and department of personal and training (DoPT). At present, around 50 lakh central government employees can avail leave and interest free advance to travel within the country. 

Good news related to pay hike beyond the recommendations of the seventh pay commission has come for around 17 lakh state employees. The Maharashtra government has announced that the employees would get pay hike beyond the 7th CPC and not just this, the government would also provide arrears for three years. CM Devendra Fadnavis had earlier announced that implementations of the seventh pay commission will come into effect in January, 2019. 
Another Zee News report stated that the government has decided that employees would also get arrears for the last three years along with the increased salary.   
The decision would impose an additional burden of a whopping Rs 21,000 crore on the exchequer, as per the government estimate Rs 4,800 crore would be allocated for the implementation of Pay Commission in the Budget
Earlier, 17 lakh employees in Maharshtra went on a 3-day strike, demanding a pay hike and the earliest implementation of the seventh pay recommendations. However, it should be noted that around 1.5 lakh gazetted officers withdrew from the strike after a Government Resolution (GR) was issued on Monday night stating that the pending arrears of the Dearness Allowance (DA) for a period of 14 months will be paid to them
