There are 9 union in UFBU. Among all 9 unions 5 of them are Workmen union (AIBEA, BEFI,NCBE,INBEF,NOBW) and 4 is Officer union (AIBOC,INBOC,AIBOA,NOBO ). There are 3 major political party related to trade union( AIBEA,AIBOA,BEFI - Communist ;INBEF,INBOC- Congress;Nobw,Nobo - BJP). NCBE & AIBOC claims to be neutral. The % share of BJP/ CONGRESS affiliated unions are negligible compare to other major union.
Now when you are voting mainly to BJP/CONGRESS, what is the use of labeling bank employees as communist. Why national parties BJP/CONGRESS will think positive towards bank employees when they are not vote bank for them. However central govt employees are treated as good vote bank for both congress and bjp.
Hope you may have understood why CONGRESS/ BJP both ignores bank employees.
